New ops director for Demag
Terex Cranes has confirmed the appointment of Ulrich Strieder as operations director for its two production facilities in Zweibrücken, Germany – Dinglerstraße and Wallerscheid, which produce Demag branded All Terrain and crawler cranes.
In this new role he will report to Terex Cranes Germany managing director Thomas Schramm. He joins the company from Schutz, a group that products a range of products from packaging to wind turbine and aviation components, where he has been head of the packaging and steel processing division for the past nine years or so. Prior to that he spent six and a half years with truck and bus manufacturer MAN, where he was production director. He began his career in 1990 with steel tube manufacturer Mannesmann Röhren Werke becoming operations manager before leaving to join cold metal forming company Kronenberg Profil in 2000, moving to MAN in mid 2003.
He joins Terex at a good time, with Zweibrücken and Wallerscheid plants restructures, with solid backlogs.

Ulrich Streider
