Terex Tower cranes move for Lee Maynard
Terex has confirmed the appointment of Lee Maynard as global sales director tower cranes based at the Terex offices in Schaffhausen, Switzerland.
The move follows the announcement that Terex is exiting the mobile crane business and selling its Demag crane business to Tadano. Maynard will take over the day to day management duties for the Terex tower cranes sales team in Europe, the Middle East, Russia, North America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
He is currently director of mobile crane sales for Europe and Russia, and became director sales and service for northern Europe since 2012, while also being responsible for the UK distribution business, a role he has held since taking over from Barry Barnes in 2010, which occurred around the same time as Terex sold the Atlas business to Fil Filipov. He will continue to look after the the UK sales business until a successor is found.
Maynard joined Terex in 2001 when it acquired German loader crane manufacturer Atlas, he ran the Atlas UK operation, when the company was market leader. He also played an important role in UK loader crane association ALLMI, particularly in its formative years.
