Dutch International rental group Riwal has appointed Lee Rigby as UK commercial manager.
He joins the company from Nationwide Platforms, where he was UK sales director specialist vehicles, having come into the business with the Loxam merger, where he had been head of UK sales having only moved to Loxam from AFI a few months earlier.
He began his career in 2000 as a depot manager with Ashtead, moving to MGF Trench support equipment in 2003. In 2008 he moved back into the mainstream rental market taking up a position as area sales manager with Speedy, later becoming sales director. After almost eight years with the company he joined AFI as regional sales manager. Rigby and the team he will manage will be responsible for working, providing support and assistance to UK customers in order to expand the company’s market share.
Riwal UK country manager Mick Ledden said: “Lee’s track record and proven skills are a perfect match for the business. He will lead our commercial team and work with me to plan and deliver the future growth of the business. The entire Riwal group welcomes him and is on hand to give him every assistance possible, to settle in quickly and start making a difference."
