Manitowoc has appointed Luciano Dias as sales director for Brazil.
Reporting to vice president South America Cristian Galaz, Dias will lead both sales and customer support for Grove, Potain and Manitowoc products in Brazil. He is also responsible the company’s training centre in Sao Paulo, which serves technicians across Central America. He rejoins the company from construction equipment company i9 Lift, where he has been president for the past two and a half years.
He began his career in 1993 with the sales team at food company Nestlé, before moving into the rental industry, joining Mills Rental in 1996 as a sales representative, and he was promoted to sales manager in 2004. Two years later he was recruited by Manitowoc Brazil as vice president of sales, a role he held for 10 years, leaving in early 2017 to join i9 Lift.
