UK access rental company Lifterz has appointed Tony Stokes as customer care/hire operations manager.
Stokes began his access career in 1990 as a regional operations manager with Nationwide Access. Having moved up through the company he joined UK Platforms in 2005 as operations director. In 2007 he joined Clements Hire in Coventry as business development manager, becoming a company director the following year. He left the company in 2011 and more recently has been working with Nationwide Platforms in a number of regional operational roles, his most recent being Midlands regional director.
The appointment follows the company’s acquisition by Speedy earlier this year which is now looking to strengthen its management team in preparation for further growth.
Malcolm Bowers, joint founder of Lifterz said: “We are so pleased to bring to our business Tony’s overall experience and track record in operational management and customer care. He will play in big part in helping us in maintaining, if not lifting the level of customer care and service quality our customers are accustomed to.”
Lifterz operates from locations in Daventry, Ossett, Haydock and Scotland and has joined Speedy’s previous acquisitions of Prolift and Platform Sales & Hire, which along with Speedy Hire depots and aerial lift fleet now provides true national coverage in the UK.
