First Genie GS-4655s in Spain

Spanish rental company Maxber has taken delivery of the first two 46ft Genie GS-4655 slab electric scissor lifts to arrive in Spain.

Offering direct AC electric wheel drive, the GS-4655 features Genie's Dual Zone system, providing a maximum working height of 15.95 metres for indoor use, and an external working height of up to 8.55 metres. Maximum platform capacity is 350kg, which is rated for up to three occupants when working inside and two when working outside. A 1.22 metre deck extension is standard, while the machine’s overall weight is 3,700kg and its overall width 1.4 metres.

Maxber chief executive, Bernardo Gomez, said: “As soon as we were informed of its launch, we were quick to place an order. The Genie GS-4655 scissor lift is a very interesting machine that is well adapted to the rising trend for higher warehouse applications since warehouse owners are optimising space by building higher buildings with narrow aisles to gain extra storage volume.”

“The new Genie GS-4655 scissor lift is an excellent complement to our electric scissor lift offering. In addition to allowing us to continue to differentiate ourselves from our competitors, it fills a gap in the market that offers us new business opportunities in a sector of activity which, until the launch of this innovative Genie development, was not well covered.”

Established in 2002, Maxber is based in Valladolid, northern Spain, with depots in Madrid, Segovia and Valencia. The company runs a fleet of truck mounted lifts, boom lifts and scissor lifts, as well as telehandlers and forklifts. Last year the company joined the Spanish machinery and equipment association ASEAMAC – see: Maxber joins ASEAMAC.
