Belgium based parts and sales company Vertimac has appointed Thomas Méheust as sales director of Nagano.
Meheust joins the company from Genie where he has been sales director for Benelux, Israel and Used Equipment since 2018. Prior to that he spent a short while with UK spider crane specialist GGR. In his new role he will be responsible for developing new markets for the Nagano platforms, while co-owner Mathieu Naessens remains in charge of the domestic market and support of external partners.
Méheust began his career in plumbing and light construction, running his own business for four years, before moving to the UK in 2004 to join Youngman as export business development manager. He later became international division manager, leaving the business after almost 11 years to join French manufacturer ATN as export sales manager and later as sales director. He left the business for GGR in 2018 as ATN moved into financial difficulties.
Vertimac was appointed as the Nagano distributor Belgium in 2018, with non exclusive global distribution rights for the Japanese product line - see: See Vertimac to distribute Nagano. The company has had some success but is now stepping up its efforts by holding more inventory and organising a steady pipeline of new machine deliveries.
