New CEO for HAE

UK based rental association HAE has appointed Paul Gaze as chief executive designate. He will also be responsible for the EHA - Event Hire Association. The move follows the decision of current chief executive Graham Arundell to step down after 13 years in the role.

Gaze joined the HAE/EHA as commercial manager in 2018 after 15 years with the UK’s Construction Industry Training Board (CITB). He joined the training body in 2003 as a specialist manager and moved through a number of roles to become a special projects manager.

During his two years with the HAE he has helped transform and add to the association’s training and skills development programmes, setting up a career path for members, and introducing a vocational assessment centre. He also led further developments to virtual reality training and the HAE Direct business, supporting members with safety guidance and information.

Chairman Brian Sherlock said: “His impressive pedigree of 30 years’ experience in the construction industry in a range of technical and managerial roles in both the public and private sectors, including more than a decade at the CITB – made Paul the ideal candidate for the position.”
