Paul McDonnell to leave United

Paul McDonnell, chief commercial officer of US based United Rentals, will leave the company at the end of the month.

He will continue to provide ‘advisory services’ to the company for up 24 months. Chief operating officer Dale Asplund will add McDonnell’s sales and specialty operations to his current duties.

McDonnell joined United in 1999 when it acquired D&E Steelplate Rental where he was general manager. He was appointed a district manager with United and moved up through the company, becoming executive vice president and chief commercial officer in 2019.
