£1m order for Elavation

UK rental company Elavation Platforms has started taking delivery of a large number of new Hinowa spider lifts and has appointed a specialist equipment manager.

Placed with UK distributor APS, the order totals more than £1 million and includes models from across the Hinowa range with working heights from 13 to 33 metres. The company has also ordered Hinowa’s latest new model, the 13 metre all electric TC13 telescopic spider lift which was announced a few months ago – see: Hinowa unveils the TeleCrawler 13. Powered by Hinowa's well proven lithium-ion battery pack, the TC13 features a three section boom, topped by an articulated jib, maximum outreach is 6.4 metres with a 136kg unrestricted platform capacity.

Elavation Platforms operations manager, Dan Gonzalez, said: “We have been operating Hinowas for many years. They have excellent working heights and reach, are very light and compact, and are well built and reliable. They are also packed with performance and safety features with our customers really appreciate. We have a long and strong relationship with APS which gives us additional confidence that this will be a very good investment for Elavation.”

Elavation has also appointed Mandy McClement-John as specialist equipment manager. She joins the company from Nationwide Platforms where she was operations manager for its tracked boom lift division.

McClement-John added: “Hinowa platforms have come into their own as contractors realise they’re perfect for operating in difficult to reach spaces. The lithium electric and bi-energy versions are also increasingly popular for working around hospitals, care homes and schools, where quiet and zero-emission operation is often stipulated. I am confident that there will be strong demand for our expanding Hinowa spider boom fleet. The combination of Elavation’s experience in marketing spider booms and Hinowa performance is a winner.”

Elavation runs a fleet of 900 boom, scissor, mast and push arounds lifts from two locations in Milton Keynes.
