Sinoboom adds Nordic manager

Sinoboom Europe has appointed Thomas Wolke as regional manager for the Nordic & Baltic region, responsible for managing the company’s business, including sales, product support and distribution appointments in Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

He joins the company from JLG where he was general manager of the company’s Swedish distribution business JLG Sverige, having joined the company in 2006. He began his career in 1996 as a marketing manager with the Swedish subsidiary of German shaft and drive coupler manufacturer Uni-Cardan. In 1999 he was promoted to managing director of the company, leaving in 2003 to set up an automotive after sales consultancy - Baits - leaving to join JLG two years later.

Vice president of business development Erik Geene, said: “Thomas’ experience and knowledge is a great asset to our team in Europe and will undoubtedly help us to rapidly build on our existing Nordic and Baltic customer base, which particularly values our modern electric scissors and booms.”

Wolke added: “I am impressed by the quality of the products and commitment to quality that I’ve found at Sinoboom, it’s great to be back in this business visiting my customers and friends again.”

The appointment is the latest step in Sinoboom’s strategy to build a pan-European distribution and support network from its base in Rotterdam.
