Magni adds to US sales team

Italian telehandler manufacturer Magni has appointed Anthony Obi as regional sales manager for the Northwest covering Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.

He joins the company from United Rentals where he has been a territory sales manager for the past four years, covering Phoenix, Arizona and more recently Portland, Oregon. He joined the company at the start of 2016 as an internal salesman having began his career as an intern with Vivint Smart Home in 2014.

Speaking of his new role he said: “I am looking forward to working with existing Magni dealer Pape Material Handling while working to set up new dealers in Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.”

Obi is the fourth regional sales manager to have been recruited by Magni this year, he follows Robert Cloud who joined the business in May to cover the South Central region, covering Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. He had previously worked with NationsRent, United Rentals and Hertz Equipment Rental.

In July Jim Heckendorf came onboard as to cover the Midwest including the states of Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Minnesota.

And finally Nick Newbury signed up in August to cover the Southeast Region, including Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, and Mississippi. He had previously worked for Sunbelt Rentals.
