The new option uses a synchronised rope telescope system which significantly increases the telescope speed in comparison to the LTC 1050's existing six section 36 metre Telematic pinned boom. The downside is that rope extended boom is has just five sections and is five metres shorter at 31 metres. It is intended for those companies that mostly use the crane inside buildings, in that is it simpler and quicker to operate.

Interestingly the new boom, which uses a two stage telescope cylinder, has an unusual dual mode system. ‘Fast mode’ extends each section simultaneously while the ‘Strong mode’ extends the section two all the way first using the first stage of the telescope cylinder before extending the other sections in sequence. The company says that the new system also delivers excellent load telescoping capacities.
