Open cabs for Snorkel teles

Snorkel’s range of telescopic handlers will in future be available with an open cab option with the European built machines previously only available with fully enclosed cabs.

The open option offers the same space and layout as the fully enclosed cab, and is already available on the company’s 13.5 metre/4,200kg SR1442, 16.4 metre/4,535kg SR1745 and 9.5 metre/6,500kg SR1065 as well as the standard and lithium-ion powered 5.79 metre/2,600kg SR626/E compact models.

It retains the same adjustable suspension seat and adjustable steering column as standard, while a mesh grid provides protection for the operator without restricting visibility.

Snorkel's range of telehandlers are now available with open cabs

Open cabs are usually standard in North America for reasons of cost, simplicity, ruggedness, and visibility. They are however quite rare on the compact models, most of which are imported from Europe, where open air cabs are almost unheard of. Snorkel telehandlers are manufacturer in Italy by Faresin.
