New CFO for Alimak

Swedish based mast climber and hoist manufacturer and industrial access group Alimak has appointed Thomas Hendel as chief financial officer. He will officially take over the role mid-May with Bernt Ingman continuing as interim chief financial officer until then.

Hendel joins the company from Swedish aerospace and defence company Saab where he has been duty chief financial officer since 2016, having joined the company as group controller in 2013. He began his senior financial career with ABB in 2004 as a division controller moving to shared service manager in 2006 and global business unit controller in 2010, leaving for Saab three years later.

Alimak chief executive Ole Kristian Jødahl, who replaced Tormod Gunleiksrud last year, said: “I am very pleased to welcome Thomas Hendel as CFO of the Alimak group.
