Further STSs for SEA-invest

Antwerp Container Terminal (ACOT), part of the SEA-invest group, has ordered a further two Liebherr ship to shore cranes after taking delivery of the same model last year.

The new cranes offer an outreach of 60 metres, a span of 30 metres and a back reach of 25 metres. They have a maximum capacity of 65 tonnes and can handle up 22 containers across. Once delivered, the cranes will be installed on a 900 metre long deep-water berth, allowing it to handle super-postpanamax vessels.

David Griffin, Liebherr Container Cranes managing director of sales, said: “As SEA-invest grows and develops in container handling, Liebherr is pleased to be able to continue the journey with them. SEA-invest has counted on Liebherr for their stevedoring operations and are accustomed to the quality, reliability and productivity that Liebherr cranes can bring.”
