New chairman for GGR
UK spider crane and vacuum handling specialist GGR has appointed Sat Dhaiwal as non-executive chairman.
Dhaiwal has been working with GGR as a board level advisor since the start of last year - see:
Sat Dhaiwal to advise GGR. He has extensive experience within the UK the rental Industry having spent more than 25 years with Ashtead’s A-Plant - now Sunbelt UK - of which 16 years were as chief executive. He also sat on the Ashtead board.

Chief executive and joint owner Graeme Riley, said: “On behalf of the board I would like to thank Sat for his strong leadership and contribution he has made as our board advisor over the past year - his experience and knowledge of the rental industry has already proven invaluable for GGR. GGR is the European master distributor for Unic spider cranes and runs one of the largest spider crane rental fleets in the UK. Last year it also added the Faresin telehandler distribution for the UK and has been a pioneer in promoting the manufacturer’s Full Electric compact telehandler.
