First MCT 275 for Philippines

Philippine contractor PLD Construction & Development has taken delivery of the first two 10 tonne Potain MCT 275 K10 topless tower cranes in the country.

Launched last July - see: New Potain topless from China - the MCT 275 K10 offers jib lengths from 30 to 70 metres and can handle 2.3 tonnes at its 70 metre jib tip.

The first crane has been erected on the site of a new residential high rise building complex in Cebu city and configured with a 70 metre jib and a free standing height of 67 metres. The second is working on the construction of the Casa Mira Towers in Mandaue city with a 60 metre jib and a height of 85.5 metres. Both have been mounted on Potain’s two metre square L68 tower system and installed with the standard 45kW hoist, which can lift 2.5 tonnes at up to 88 metres a minute, with a rope capacity of 500 metres. The cranes will remain on site for the next three years.
