Tracked Haulotte masts for Australia

Australian rental company United Forklift and Access Solutions has taken delivery of some of the first 12.5ft Haulotte Star 6 crawler mast type lifts in the country.

Launched last year, the battery powered Star 6C offers a working height of 5.8 metres and a maximum platform capacity of 200kg, rated for two people for indoor applications and a single person outdoors. A 400mm platform extension comes as standard as do AGM maintenance free batteries and the company’s Activ’Screen display and diagnostics. It has an overall width of 760mm a length of 1.44 metres and a stowed height of 1.72 metres. Total weight is 1,175kg while chassis rail fork pockets make moving it around or loading it with a fork truck safe and easy.

United Forklift and Access' new Star 6Cs arrive

United Equipment general manager Trent Osborne said: “It is a great compact all-rounder and has been well thought out in its design. The non-marking tread make it perfect for indoor, it can be lifted lengthwise during transport phases thanks to dedicated forklift pockets. We are really happy to have it here, ready for use.”

Haulotte Australia general manager Keith Clarke added: “When we first saw the prototype in Europe, we couldn’t wait to bring our customers here to see this little work horse. It’s the perfect addition to any fleet because it can go anywhere, through anything. This machine can follow the job from the start, as the site is being prepared, all the way to finishing on newly installed floors.”

Part of the Elphinstone group since 2015, United offers a range access platforms, telehandler forklifts, pallet trucks and container handlers from nine locations throughout Australia.
