Czech warehouse for Modulift

UK-based modular spreader beam specialist Modulift has opened a new warehouse in the Czech Republic.

The facility is located in the town of Vamberkon - north of Brno and east of Prague - on the premises of Austrian chain specialist Pewag, which formed a strategic alliance with Modulift in 2020 See: Modulift and Pewag alliance. One of the driving factors behind the investment was the delivery and paperwork issues caused by Brexit. The Czech facility will enable Modulift to get back to providing simple deliveries - including next day - across the European Union, eliminating the worry, cost or potential delays caused by customs paperwork.

The warehouse holds a range of the company’s products in stock from MOD 6 up to MOD 400/600 and CMOD corner units, which are compatible with the struts from the modular spreader beam system for multi-point lifts.

Commercial director John Baker said: “With a lot of delays at ports not just in Europe but around the globe, this is the perfect time for Modulift to expand by having a warehouse facility that will be able to provide off the shelf products ready and waiting to customers who urgently need them next working day.”
