Access Industrie returns to Spain

French rental company Acces Industrie has acquired Spanish rental company Uping Acces from owner Antoni Royo.

Uping is based in Sabadell on the north side of Barcelona, with another two branches in Catalonia - one in Girona and one in Sant Boi on the south side of Barcelona. The company runs a 400 unit fleet of boom lifts, scissor lifts and 3.5 truck mounted lifts topped by a 98ft Haulotte HA32 PX boom lift with 22 employees.

The acquisition takes Access Industrie back into Spain, after selling off or closing its Spanish operations in 2013 as it ran into financial difficulties. The intention now is for Uping Acces to create a foundation for further expansion in the country. Acces Industrie operates a 10,000 unit fleet with more than 500 employees and is owned by Equistone Partners Europe which acquired the business in 2020.
