The last Euro Tadano ATF 100G

German crane rental company Heinrichs has taken delivery of the very last new Tadano 100 tonne ATF 100G-4 to be built for Europe - the product will continue to be built to order for other markets. The model has been replaced by the AC 4.100-1 and AC 4.100L-1. The four axle crane plugs a gap in the rental company’s fleet and will be used for taxi crane work in the Eastern North Rhine Westphalia area.

The four axle ATF 100G-4 has a 51.2 metre six section main boom topped by a 10 to 18 metre bi-fold swingaway extension. It offers a maximum tip height of 72.5 metres and a maximum radius of 58 metres. It can also travel with up 7.6 tonnes of counterweight without the extension or six tonnes with the swingaway on board within 12 tonne axle weights. The maximum counterweight is 22.3 tonnes with 12 different configurations.

The crane has an overall length of 12.85 metres with an overall travel width of 2.75 metres. The outriggers can be set up asymmetrically, allowing the crane to set each beam to fit the available space, with the overload system sensing the set up and calculating the best possible load chart for the actual configuration.

Thomas Heinrichs said: “We want to use the crane primarily for moving machinery, as an auxiliary crane or in prefabricated construction. On the latter construction sites, the second stage of the extension and auxiliary winch is particularly helpful, because it allows us to lift the concrete parts with just a single machine and turn them however we like. And thanks to the crane’s outstanding reach, this is possible even for larger structures. This makes it even easier for us to plan assignments and meet our customers’ needs.”

“The ATF 100G-4 will also allow us to be even more flexible when it comes to accepting orders. It is compact and powerful, so it really is the perfect taxi crane. The 100G-4 has a legendary reputation. I am also a fan of the new Tadano models with all the cutting-edge features - in fact, I recently bought two of the latest generation cranes myself. But the 100G-4 is almost unbelievably reliable, so it goes without saying that I wanted to get hold of one of these cranes while I still could - even if it now means the end of an era.”

Henrichs is based in Lichtenau, due east of Dortmund near Paderborn and has been in business for more than 30 years.
