The new crane has a 16 metre five-section pentagonal main boom, is rated at 1.6 metres and has a maximum load moment of 22 tonne/metres. A work platform/gravity hung basket attachment can be installed to the boom nose without removing the hook block and provides a maximum working height of 21.5 metres. When in the basket the machine is operated with the radio remote controller. The all-up weight of crane is three tonnes without any extra installation brackets or plates that might be required and the overall stowed length is 4.8 metres.

The outriggers can be set uniformly at widths of 2.88, 3.9 and 5.5 metres, or asymmetrically. A choice of manual or advanced ‘HRS’ and ‘HS’ overload prevention devices are available, with several advanced features with some safety systems that were previously limited to the Japanese domestic market. The standard HRS and HS specification includes the ‘Safety Eyes’ system equipped with a function which monitors shifts in stability caused by changes to load on the truck bed, allowing the crane to lift more with the truck is fully laden.
The AML (Automatic Moment Limiter) overload system monitors all aspects of the crane operation from load, boom height and radius and outrigger set up and loadings, restricting or cutting functions if the crane’s capacity is exceeded or the boom reaches the maximum pre-set limit.
