JLG expands German support team

JLG has confirmed Lutz Schwede as managing director of JLG Deutschland and restructured its sales and support team in order to meet demand.

Schwede, who has been sales manager for the German speaking region and Central / Eastern Europe, since 2018, has served in the top job at JLG Germany since January. He joined the company in 2013 to look after rental company dealers, having spent his entire career in the material handling and forklift industry.

According to the German commercial register he now joins Laurent Montenay and three others as a director. Speaking of the changes at JLG Germany he said: "In order to meet the high demand in the German market, JLG has significantly expanded its team in Germany and filled several positions,"

Lutz Schwede

Jonas Dörnen has moved to business development manager for Power Towers across the German speaking region and central/eastern Europe. He joined JLG in 2019 as distribution manager Southern Germany and was most recently distribution and dealer support manager for JLG’s main product range. Speaking of his new role he said: “My goal is to further expand the markets and keep growth stable, because the market is growing at a tremendous rate. There have been few solutions in this- low level market so far, and JLG filling the gap, selling solutions, and not just machines!”

Jonas Dörnen

Andreas Holzmüller has been appointed as distribution and dealer support manager for Germany, responsible for adding new dealers and supporting them in sales, marketing and trade fair appearances. The role was previously handled by Dörnen. He joined the company in February, after almost 17 years with Liebherr, having started his career with the company in 2005 as an intern at Liebherr Iberica.

Andreas Holzmüller

Hannes Schmidt has been appointed to the new position of sales manager Rental North and East Germany. He joined the company in March. He began his career as a heating and ship operations technician, with the German Navy and later on a cruise ship. He has spent the past 10 years in field service, sales and technical advice.

Finally, Lukas Schrubba has been appointed to the new post of aftermarket sales representative for the German speaking region as well as central/easter Europe. A trained technical system planner, he also joined the company last March having previously worked in a sales role with a mechanical engineering company in Germany.
