Wright heads Lavendon UK

The Lavendon group has appointed Andy Wright its group development director as overall head of Lavendon’s UK businesses. The appointment takes effect immediately. Wright joined the company at the start of this year after a number of years with Aggreko.

The business that Wright will head up includes Nationwide Access, Panther Platform Rentals, AMP, Kestrel and now Wizard Workspace. It is almost as large a business as the whole of Lavendon 18 months ago.

Kevin Appleton, Lavendon’s chief executive, said: “The rapid expansion of our UK business, together with the need to give focus to further growth opportunities in mainland Europe, meant the time was right for this change. Andy is a rental industry veteran, and he has a great senior management team around him within Lavendon’s UK businesses. I am sure this team provides the firepower, knowledge and drive we need to continue to build our position as the clear leader in the UK access rental market”.
