Tadano confirms MD for Tadano-Faun/Demag

Tadano has announced that Jens Ennen has been appointed as managing director of Tadano- Faun/ Europe to head up and merge the Tadano Faun and Demag businesses, once the acquisition has been completed. His appointment was announced during a press conference at Bauma last week.

His responsibilities will include bringing the two companies together along with heading the day to day activities of the two companies. He replaces Kenichi Sawada who has managed Tadano Europe since 2017 and who will return to Tadano Japan.

Ennen joins the company from Manitowoc / Grove where he was senior vice president for Grove mobile cranes in Europe and Africa for the past three years. He joined Grove when it acquired the Krupp crane business in 2002, having worked with the Wilhelmshaven based crane manufacturer since 1996 in various engineering roles. In 2006 he was promoted to senior manager of new product development. In 2012 he moved to Shady Grove with the company as senior vice president of engineering and innovation, becoming chief technical officer in 2014. In 2016 he moved back to Wilhelmshaven as senior vice president of mobile cranes Europe and Africa, a job he held until a month ago.
