Another acquisition for Leppo

Leppo Rents of Ohio has acquired Floridian sales and rental company Bobcat of Jacksonville from owner Tim Stokes.

Bobcat of Jacksonville focuses mainly on Bobcat and Doosan excavators and skid steers, and an occasional platform sale. Going forward it will trade as Leppo Rents - Bobcat of Jacksonville. One assumes that Leppo will add aerial lifts and telehandlers to the Jacksonville fleet. It already has two locations in Florida - Tallahassee and Panama City and is a JLG dealer.

This is Leppo’s second acquisition in less than four months, have taken over Rent Equip at the end of October.

Leppo Rents was established as a farm equipment dealer in Akron, Ohio in 1945, by Roy and Stella Leppo. As demand for agricultural equipment declined in the 1970s, Leppo moved into the construction equipment market and set up a rental fleet which became Leppo Rents. It now operates from 12 locations - eight in Ohio, plus two in Florida and two in Alabama - Jacksonville will be its 13th. It sells and rental Bobcat equipment along with JLG lifts, Lull telehandlers and Hydro Mobile mastclimbers and hoists.
