XCMG adds to aerial lift team

XCMG platforms has appointed Thomas Dohmen, 57, as regional sales manager for the German speaking region of Europe, based at the company’s European Sales and Services operation in Krefeld, Germany.

He joins the company following eight years with Haulotte Germany, starting out as a sales manager for central Germany, before being promoted to sales team leader/manager in August 2017. He began his career in 1981 in the commercial vehicle market, initially as a trainee technician with Scania, moving after 11 years for a sales job at Ackermann-Fruehauf. In 1996 he joined Volvo in Cologne, and then made the move to the powered access market in 2015.

In his new role with XCMG he will be responsible for setting up a sales network as well as raising XCMG Access’ profile in the region.

Speaking of the new job he said: “People know XCMG - by the way, the third largest manufacturer of construction machinery in the world - above all for their cranes and construction machinery and not primarily for the work platforms. At XCMG I can have plenty of scope for and development across Germany, Austria and German speaking Switzerland."
