Uperio and Geda expand partnership
German hoist manufacturer Geda and French international tower crane rental company Uperio are expanding their partnership.
The partnership between the two companies which has so far related to the Geda 2 PK tower crane operator hoist,
was announced in April 2018 pre-dating the Uperio brand name. The two companies have now agreed to extend the sales and rental co-operation to include Geda transport platforms.

Uperio purchased its first Geda transport platforms for its rental fleet in 2021 to satisfy a requirement at the massive Fécamp offshore wind farm project off the coast of Normandy. In total 56 units of Geda’s 500 Z/ZP transport platforms were supplied for that project. Each has a maximum capacity of 850kg with a lift speed of 24 metres a minute or five passengers up to 500k, and a lift speed of 12 metres a minute. Some of those units have now completed their rental term and are now being offered for sale on the used equipment market.

Given the long term performance and growing demand for such platforms, Uperio began talking to Geda about adding them to their partnership agreement.
Uperio runs a global fleet of around 2,000 tower cranes with 700 employees based across 32 locations in eight countries - France, Belgium, the UK, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, and the USA.
