Another acquisition for Boels

Dutch international rental group Boels has acquired Swedish rental company KraftX from owner Lars Wallberg.

KraftX specialises in generator and backup power rental for industrial, construction and infrastructure sites, operating from nine locations across Sweden. The company was established in 2015 by Jonas Forssén, following almost 10 years working as a product manager for Cramo and before that four years with Ramirent. He sold his shares in KraftX to Lars Wallberg at the end of 2021.

The KraftX business will be merged into Cramo Sweden, the Boels subsidiary in the region. The move follows the acquisition of Illumin8 in the UK last week.

Henrik Norrbom managing director of Cramo Sweden said: "The acquisition of KraftX is an important part of our continued growth journey. We have a long standing and successful relationship with KraftX where our different abilities complement each other in a number of different projects and commitments. Together we can offer the market an even better range of products, expertise and sustainable productivity solutions."

Further growth

Boels says that it aims to continue its expansion efforts in order to offer a ‘one stop shop’ solution to all of its customers. Chief executive Pierre Boels said: “Acquiring expertise, fleet and market share is important to scale up our business, both internally for economies of scale and externally by adding value to our customers.“
