Kranlyft UK operations director Simon Marnock said: “The addition of Terex Self-Erecting Cranes complements the quality products we currently offer. Manufactured in Italy the range includes nine models ranging from 21 to 40 metres. I recently visited the facility in Fontanafredda along with Kranlyft group chief executive Jurgen Vater, to meet the team and explore how we can best represent the brand in the UK and Ireland. We followed this up with sales and product training for our new cranes at our UK office in Bristol, led by Bartosz Irzyniec and Luca Zanut. We believe that this is a great opportunity for Kranlyft to offer our customers a wider selection of cranes to suit their needs and we very much look forward to working together.”

Terex area sales leader Bartosz Irzyniec added: “We are very excited about this collaboration. Kranlyft UK impressed us with their professionalism and customer focus. They have a fantastic lifting product offering and we believe that our self-erecting cranes are a great addition to this portfolio. We are really looking forward to working closely together and promoting self-erecting cranes technology to the construction sector in the UK.”
Sales training underway for Kranlyft UK

The Kranlyft group is based in Sweden and was established as a crane distributor in 1963 but came to prominence in 1969 when it launched the Kato truck crane range in Europe. Around that time it also set up a UK operation - Kato Cranes UK - later Kato Parts & Service, changing its name to Kranlyft UK in 2005.
In 1999 it was appointed the European master dealer for Maeda spider cranes, which became its principle business when Kato pulled out of the European market. In 2002 Christer Dijner led an MBO along with John Hornby, Terry Marnock, Paul Rosevere, Bo Borjesson and Per-Ragnar Karlstrom, to acquire the business from previous owner Metso, which had acquired had it a few months earlier from Svedala. In 2016 the business was acquired by private equity group Storskogen Utveckling.
