A 41ft Platform Basket RR14 Evo articulated road-rail boom lift has gone to work on the Lima Metro, the first underground Metro line in Peru.
The RR14 Evo offers 9.3 metres of outreach, a working height of 14.4 metres and a maximum platform capacity of 400kg. Able to work on wheels or tracks the boom features automatic self levelling of the superstructure, allowing it to work on banked and inclined tracks and ground conditions.
The platform will work on Line Two which connects the Peruvian capital from the west with the terminus at Puerto del Callao, to the east, terminating at Municipalidad de Ate. It will be used for general underground maintenance, catenary tracks, fire prevention systems, ventilation shafts and general storage areas.
The lift was sold through Platform Basket's dealer Acygs Peru, which will also provide warranty and service support.
