Ballyvesey Holdings will merge three of its UK operations - GB Plant/Contract Plant Rental, Norwest Plant and Genesis Equipment Sales into a new combined operation which will trade as Contract Plant.
The move is intended to improve after sales management services and optimise its back office operations. The company realistically anticipates that the change - which brings its sales and rental businesses together, will inevitably bring some of its partnerships and distribution agreements with original equipment manufacturers to an end. However, it says that this will also "allow the opportunity to establish new relationships and collaborate with other equipment manufacturers." The change may have an impact on the UK distribution of XCMG aerial work platforms, which has been handled by the Genesis subsidiary since April 2023.
The new Contract Plant operation will operate from five regional depots located across the country, offering aerial work platforms, telehandlers, forklifts and construction equipment for both sales and rental.
Mark Kennedy, the head of Ballyvesey plant, access & construction - UK said: "By leveraging the strengths of GB Plant and Access group, we have an opportunity to elevate our service levels and better connect with our customers' needs. The integration of after sales management services, including parts, warranty, and breakdown assistance, will allow us to ensure customer satisfaction. Our collaborations with industry players have been key to our expansion. By working together with these industry leaders, we can provide a unique solution that fosters customer loyalty. Our customers can purchase, hire, enter long-term or short-term contracts, and access our comprehensive service contracts, even for equipment not sold by our group. With access to 90 percent of OEMs' parts, we offer an unmatched, full service solution in our sector."
