First 'Next Gen' scissor

German rental company Stapler Service Jena has taken delivery of the first Next Generation slab electric scissor lift in Germany, a 26ft GS-2632 E-Drive.

The new machine arrives with Jena

Genie announced the new Next Generation scissors at the end of last year, they include dozens of improvements and changes including distinctive curved scissor arms. The GS2632 has a working height of 9.96 metres, with a maximum platform capacity of 227kg. It is 2.26 metres long and 830mm wide with an overall weight of 2,145kg.

Beatrix Hermann of Lift-off with Mike Herrmann of Stapler Service Jena

The new lift was supplied by Genie dealer Lift-off, whose managing director Beatrix Herrmann handed over the machine to Stapler Service's managing director Mike Herrmann - no relation! He said that he ordered the new lift the moment he first set eyes on it.

Stapler Service Jena is based in Jena, South West of Leipzig in eastern Germany, and specialises in the sale and rental of new and used forklifts and aerial work platforms, along with the provision of service, repairs and training.
