US rental company Sunstate Equipment has announced five senior management changes which it says, “are designed to reshape the company’s regional leadership and sales teams, strengthening Sunstate's leadership, community relationships, and improving sales, operations, and customer satisfaction.” The appointments follow Norty Turner joining the company as chief executive in January .
Regional vice president Jeremy Banks, takes over the Southwest region, A 29 year Sunstate veteran, he joined the company in operations role in late 1996 and moving up through the organisation to become a regional vice president in 2022.
Jeremy Banks Jason King has been appointed regional vice president for the Southeast, having joined the company after a six year stint as a district manager with United Rentals, prior to that he spent more than 15 years with Herc Rentals where he was also a district manager, having joined the company as a sales coordinator from Lowes, the DIY chain where he had been a department manager. In his new role he will be based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Jason King Ryan Moore has been promoted to regional vice president South Central, he joined the company in 2013 as branch manager in Austin Texas, after a year or so with Briggs Equipment. His rental company career began in 2003 when he joined United Rentals as a branch manager, leaving after seven years for Six & Mango Equipment moving to Briggs the following year. More recently he was responsible for the launch if Sunstate’s Industrial Solutions division as divisional director. He will be based in Houston.
Ryan Moore Daniel Tentrup was promoted earlier to regional director of sales & marketing for the South Central Region, based in Houston. He joined the company in 2021 as business excellence manager, after almost 11 years with United Rentals/RSC where he was district sales manager. He started out in 2006 with Walgreens, leaving after five years to take up a branch manager’s post for rental company RSC, which was acquired by United a year later,
Daniel Tentrup Jeffery Turley was also previously promoted to a regional director’s role, this time for sales & marketing – Southwest, based in Phoenix. He joined the company 15 years ago as a customer account manager, he was previously regional sales manager for Texas, Tennessee and Oklahoma. He began his career in 1997 as a sales rep’ for Paychex in Los Angeles, leaving at the end of 2000.

Sunstate was founded in 1977 by Mike Watts when he acquired Beldon Rentals, rebranding it Sunstate. The company is now wholly owned by Sumitomo, having acquired a minority stake in 2009, a majority holding in 2013, and full ownership in 2017. The company offers a wide range of equipment, including a fleet of around 26,000 aerial lifts and 4,500 telehandlers as well as a few carry deck cranes, from 106 locations across 16 states.
