Two new senior managers have been appointed to Hiab’s leadership team, completing the process that began when Cargotec began its demerger process into seperate, independant companies.
Jenny McGeough has been appointed as president of heavy and superheavy loader cranes, she will take up the role in November. Marcel Boxem, who has held the position on an interim basis, will return full time to his role as vice president of sales & product management for this range of loader cranes.
Jenny McGeough
McGeough will join Hiab after three years with UK based Spirax group, where she was regional general manager - Steam Thermal Solutions for Europe, the Middle East and Africa based in Milan. She began her career in 2008 as an engineering consultant and later project manager with UK based engineering group Atkins. After three years with the company, she moved to Glasgow based Wier group as supply chain project manager, relocating to Netherlands based subsidiary Weir Minerals in 2015 where she became operations director the following year. In late 2019 she moved to Schenk Process in Frankfurt as vice president of operations for Europe, Africa and the Mid East, leaving after three years for Spirax.
At the same time Kimberly Allan joins the company as executive vice president, business excellence. Starting later this week, she takes over from the chief executive Scott Phillips who stepped into the role on an interim basis alongside his day job.
Kimberly Allan
She joins the company after a five and a half year spell with Spectris where she was head of continuous improvement at Spectris Business Systems. She began her career in 1999 as a project manager moving steadily up the organisation to operations leader, to become operational excellence leader in Seattle, Washington. After 12 years with GE, she left for Microsoft global operations in Redmond, Washington. Four years later she moved to Phillips as director of business transformation in nearby Bothell. In 2017 she moved back to the UK with Honeywell Aerospace leaving for Spectris two years later.
Allan’s appointment will also free up Sanna Ahonen to focus on her main responsibility for mergers and acquisitions, strategy, and sustainability.
Hiab chief executive Scott Phillips said: “I want to warmly welcome Jenny and Kimberly to Hiab’s leadership team.
