Palazzani appoints Lolex

Italian spider lift manufacturer Palazzani Industrie has appointed Lolex as its exclusive dealer for Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. It will distribute Palazzani’s full portfolio.

Based near Belfast airport in County Antrim, Lolex was established in 2019 by husband and wife team Trevor and Julie Houston Smyth as an independent service, maintenance and consultancy firm, providing technical support for all types of platforms using CAP Certified engineers. In 2023, it was appointed as the Sinoboom distributor for Ireland, having handled its after sales servioce since 2020, at the same time Houston Smyth joined the business full time.

Last year it added Dinolift to its range and in June this year added the Axolift low level platform account.

Laura Gasparini of Palazzani said: “The relationship with Lolex developed after several meetings and discussions. We were looking for a reliable partner to support us in a new market, and Lolex immediately stood out for its strong commitment to safety, its excellent after sales service, and its extensive industry expertise. We are confident that our spider lift range — especially the new 16 and 18 metre articulated and towable models will be perfect for the needs of the Irish market.”

Julie Houston Smyth added: “We are delighted to join the Palazzani family as their official dealer for and look forward to introducing the Palazzani range to new and existing customers throughout the country.”

Lolex technical Director Trevor Smyth said: “We were impressed by the new TZJ160 & TZJ180 Spider lifts when we first saw them at Bauma earlier this year. They have a great build quality and specification, and with Palazzani’s 90 years of manufacturing experience, they are a very attractive proposition.”

Palazzani is one of the original spider lift manufacturers and for many years focused on larger telescopic models, but its range now runs from 16 to 52 metres, including telescopics and articulated models.
