French telehandler and aerial lift manufacturer Manitou has appointed Chris Genal as sales vice president for North America.
Genal will be based at Manitou’s North American headquarters in West Bend, Wisconsin and report to Brad Boehler, president of Manitou North America. He will be responsible for all North American sales functions for both Manitou and Gehl branded products, with the aim of increasing market share and ensuring that commercial operations align with Manitou’s global corporate strategies and policies.

He joins the company following three years as senior sales director for CNH /Case IH Agriculture Equipment in North America. He began his career in 1996 in a sales role with pet health care provider Idexx Laboratories, departing after 12 years for another pet care business – Abbott, where he was global sales director. Towards the end of 2013, he moved to a similar role with Gea Farm Technologies, leaving after five years for PetDX, where he was vice president of sales, moving to CNH a year later.
Brad Boehler said: “Chris’ industry knowledge, extensive dealer network expertise and collaborative leadership style will be vital assets as we embark on our Lift 2030 strategic journey. We are thrilled to welcome him to the team and look forward to his leadership in accelerating our growth across the region."
