C&A releases 2003 Top 20 results

Cranes & Access has just released the results of its newly expanded annual listing of the UK & Ireland’s largest crane and access rental companies. The all-new C&A Top 20 this year reveals that Ainscough Crane Hire has once again taken the top spot in the mobile/crawler crane fleet size category with a fleet in excess of 400 units. The company has also knocked Hewden Crane Hire of its perch for the first time in the listing’s four-year history in the total maximum boom length category.

On the access side, Nationwide Access tops both charts in the total platform height and total unit categories with Hewden Instant Access and Loxam taking the number two and three positions respectively in the latter class. The addition of a further ten positions on both the cranes and access sides of the listing will be closely followed over the next 12 months and it will be interesting to see how each company fares in next year’s tables.
