Shocked in St Paul

A man has been badly burned after touching overhead power lines while changing a billboard from a truck mounted aerial work platform in St Paul, Minnesota.

John Trulson, 40, was replacing the billboard sign at Porky’s
Restaurant when it seems he accidentally touched the 13,000 volt overhead cables with a metal pole he was using.

The power caused his clothes to catch fire, a colleague managed to extinguish the flames but not before Trulson is suffered first and second degree burns on over 50 percent of his upper body. He is in a critical state in hospital tonight.
