Platformers Days 2008

The 10th Platformer Days, the annual German aerial lift show for industry specialists, opened today with a number of notable absences among the exhibitors. In spite of this the space was reportedly sold out and most of the major suppliers were out in force.

Overview of the main exhibit area


Among the many exhibits were a number of new products on display, including a new Denka DL12 - 12 metre two man trailer lift, A new 1.2 metre wide 22 metre (66ft) working height heavy duty electric scissor lift form PB, the new Light Lift 23.12 - 23 metre spider lift from Hinowa and a new 12 metre spider lift from Airo which while designed and assembled by Airo uses a Bluelift superstructure.

The Vertikal Check began today with the judge’s scrutiny and practical evaluations. It will continue tomorrow on the Rough Terrain course with each manufacturer putting its machine through its paces and wiht the opportunity to extol the virtues of its machine. This years check covers 18 to 20 metre articulated rough terrain boom lifts. Entrants included, Genie, Haulotte, JLG, Airo, Manitou and UpRight.
