Record year for Multitel

2008 was a record year for Multitel Pagliero with more than 1,000 platforms manufactured. The 1,000th platform – an MX 270 - left the Manta manufacturing facility a few days before Christmas for the UK.

The MX270 was purchased by Corstorphine Roofing and Building, an end-user based in Edinburgh from Multitel’s UK dealer, Access Industries.

“The platform is the first we have ever purchased and made financial sense because of the money spent each month on hires,” said director Darrell Hardy. “We have used a lot of different makes and models of platform but the MX 270 was the machine that most closely met all our needs.”

Although 2008 was a record year for Multitel Pagliero, the total for 2009 will be slightly less. According to Jerry Kist, export director of Multitel, the product mix for this year already includes lots more big machines such as the J2 365 – a 65 metre unit – and other machines in the 35 to 60 metre range.
