Oil&Steel will unveil new platform at ARA
Oil&Steel will launch a new tracked platform - the Octopus 55 - at the ARA/Rental show in Atlanta on March 3rd.

Oil&Steel will unveil its new Octopus 55
"The company is pushing forward its expansion strategy in North America and the USA in particular," said Andrea Certo, chief executive of Oil&Steel. "We are really confident about the future success of the Octopus line".
The light-weight Octopus 55 has been developed for the American market and is based on an existing Oil&Steel model sold in Europe. With a width of 2.55 ft (780mm) an overall height of 6.56 ft (2 metres), it can pass through a domestic door. The outrigger base measures 8.2 x 8.2 feet (2.5 x 2.5 metres).
With 30 lbs/120 kg in the platform, the Octopus 55 has a 55ft (17 metre) maximum working height and more than 22ft (6.8 metre) of outreach. While with 500 lbs/200 kg selected, the platform offers 49ft (15 metres) and around 17ft (5.2 metres) of outreach.
The Octopus 55 is equipped with two different power systems, a petrol (or diesel) engine and a 110 V electric single-phase auxiliary motor.
