Gruas Alhambra takes Spain's first Star-Lifter
Spain-based crane rental firm Gruas Alhambra has put the country’s first Sennebogen 3300 Star-Lifter (SL) crawler crane to work on a bridge construction project for the N-340 highway between Almeira and Malaga. The crane is being rigged with a 29.9 metre boom configuration, where it can lift 8 tonnes at a 20 metre radius, and also with a 41.1 metre main boom, where it can lift 6 tonnes at the same radius, to lift iron and concrete foundations for the bridge’s pylons.

The new 3300 Star-Lifter (SL) crawler closes the gap between Sennebogen’s 80 tonne capacity 2200 and the 140 tonne capacity 4400.
The crane also joins Gruas’ existing fleet of all terrain cranes as its first ever crawler crane. Delivered through Sennebogen’s Spanish dealer MYCSA Mulder y Co, the 110 tonne capacity 3300 SL is the first unit from Sennebogen’s new Star-Lifter line to be delivered to Spain. The 3300 SL was launched at the end of last year closes the gap between Sennebogen’s 80 tonne capacity 2200 and the 140 tonne capacity 4400, and is now the 4th model in the range, which is capped at 180 tonnes capacity with the 5500 Star-Lifter version.
