Crane boom crushes cab

A crane operator was injured in, Cleburne, near Forth Worth, Texas on Friday when the boom on his RT crane collapsed on top of its cab. The accident occurred at the T&W Tire Center.

The operator was airlifted to a Hospital in Fort Worth and was reported to be in a stable condition over the weekend.

The crane cab was badly crushed after the boom on an aging Rough Terrain crane broke free from its pivot point while lifting what is reported to have been a large generator, onto a truck.

OSHA is investigating the accident.
