First for Wilson Access

Yorkshire based Wilson Access Hire has taken delivery of the first CTE ZED26J truck mounted platform in the UK.

The CTE ZED26J is a larger version of the ZED20 model that has proved popular in the 3.5 tonne self-drive market. Despite its compact overall dimensions, the ZED26 offers 26 metres working height and 14 metres outreach with an unrestricted 230kg lift capacity.

Its sigma riser, boom and articulated jib can be configured to position the basket at almost any point within the working envelope. Mounted on a 7.5 tonne Iveco Eurocargo chassis the 26 metre working height platform was purchased to meet growing demand for self-drive equipment with mid-range access performance.

David Fleet (L) of CTE UK hands over the CTE ZED26J to Tom Wilson, MD of Wilson Access Hire.

Tom Wilson, managing director said:“Small and agile truck mounts offer great flexibility and the new CTE ZED26J fits in very nicely with our customer base which has shown a general increase in demand for self-drive units.”

“7.5 tonnes is as big as we will go on self-drive adds a new dimension to our fleet and will enhance our ability to work in partnership with other companies and provide a wider choice to our customers.”

“The CTE is a very compact easy machine to use, much more so than some of the sophisticated German products, and I know my customers really like the working profile offered from the sigma boom, adds Wilson” .

The company operates a fleet of truck and track mounted platforms with working heights to 53 metres.
