Lavendon appoints development directors

Lavendon has appointed to of its senior managers to new roles as development directors.

Dave Barton joins Lavendon’s UK management board as UK business development director.Barton joined Lavendon's sales team from The Platform Company when it was acquired in April 2008, moving to business development director in March 2009.

Andy Wright, Lavendon’s UK managing director said: "Dave’s focus will be to ensure that the company’s ‘differentiation strategy’ is fully developed and is communicated and implemented across the UK sales team.”

At the same time James Watson has been promoted to the newly created role of International business development director. Watson also joined from The Platform Company and was most recently southern sales director.

In his new role He will concentrate on building relationships with International customers to provide service and equipment to large projects across several countries..

Wright added: “These internal appointments demonstrate our ongoing commitment to appoint and develop people from within the business and I would like to take this opportunity to wish Dave and James every success in their new roles.”
