Upgrade hold up

AS part of ongoing improvements Vertikal.Net is moving to a new server and upgrading the software. As a result there will be no news posted from 23:00 this evening to 11:00 CET tomorrow.

The upgrades should speed up the site, cope with the increased traffic and database while also improving site security.

The downside is that we cannot post any new stories while the upgrade is in progress. So please bear with us and hopefully we will not miss any ultra urgent stories.

With over 100,000 visitors a month, 4 million pages viewed and over 7 million hits we are obliged to upgrade only three months after migrating to our revamped site in order to continue growing.
