Socage appoints new UK dealer
Cumberland Industries of Kettering, England, has been appointed Socage distributor for the UK. This follows the end of its association with Oil&Steel which, it says has been unable to supply a boom for a jointly designed Land Rover-based platform.
Socage has been distributed in the UK over the past 12 months or so by Kalmar following the demise of Allen Access.
Cumberland is developing another Land Rover-based unit using a Socage boom which it is hoping to show at Bauma next month. It is also in the process of developing three Iveco-based aerial lifts – a 13.5 metre articulated, a 16 metre telescopic and a 20 metre double riser articulated models.
Socage is currently undergoing a complete transformation having been purchased last September by Paolo Troni and Fiorenzo Flisi the Italian entrepreneurs who acquired Cela earlier in the year.
Cumberland Industries is also the Terex Utilities distributor for the UK, Ireland, Jordan and Iraq.
