Jean Yves Bouffault to leave Manitowoc

Jean Yves Bouffault, executive Vice President of Manitowoc groups Europe, Africa and Middle East region has announced his departure form the business at the end of September. Bouffault was Chief Executive Officer of the Potain group prior to its acquisition by Manitowoc.

Bouffault faced significant challenges in bringing together the very different cultures of Grove, Potain and Manitowoc in Europe, the process of forging the different entities into a single coherent team continues although Bouffault considers that the job is now largely complete and at age 58 he is still young enough to take on another major project.

The Manitowoc group have not issued a press statement but have written to all European region employees and are understood to have written to distributors this week.
No information is available on Bouffaults successor nor his future plans.
